I am proud to say that in 2013 I became both a wifey and a mommy. In this blog I have many topics I want to shine a light on and hopefully help you make your life simpler and more natural.
As a first time momma, I decided to take a holistic approach to motherhood by having a natural home birth, breastfeeding and cloth diapering our son. I will also share many healthy lifestyle tips and yummy recipes.
I have always been a health nut but as I studied Food & Nutrition in college it grew into my passion. I focus on creating dishes that are purchased locally, when available. I choose lean protein sources and avoid gluten and dairy as much as possible. I also share tips on how to prepare for your busy week ahead so you and your family can enjoy homemade meals together throughout the week.
I am not a vegetarian, I am not vegan, I don’t eat exclusively raw foods, and I am not on the Paleo diet. Instead, I am an individual who finds joy and a great interest in healthy, delicious, luxurious cuisine and spending time with the ones I love most. I am not better than anyone else, I am just here to help and share how simple this can really be. So grab a good glass of wine, get out a pen and paper and enjoy the blog!
